We have recently been able to offer an internship experience with students from Udayana University. Our first intern was Elsa, a remarkable student who is just 21 years old and already in her final year of Agro Eco Technology at Udayana University.
When Elsa first started the 3-month intern program she hoped to learn all about the growth and development of different microgreen varieties to assist with the completion of her thesis. At the end of the program we asked Elsa what she learnt while assisting Greens Bali vertical farm.
“I gained a lot of knowledge and experience during my internsip, especailly related to the cultivation and development of microgreens. I learnt about seed preparation, properly preparing the planting media, nursery, maintenance, harvesting, and even packing orders.”
Elsa’s initial interest in agriculture started when she was quite young. Raised in a village where the majority of jobs available were farm work, Elsa has ambitions to take her deepened knowledge of modern agro-tech back home with her and help with the implementation of more sustainable farming practices.
We would like to thank Elsa for choosing to help deepen her knowledge of vertical farming and sustainable practices with Greens Bali. We wish her all the best with her thesis and look forward to welcoming new interns in the future.
